President Lou Tayon introduced Martin Oliver who inducted Coach Ann Straus as the 61st Legend of Honor. Coach Straus, who coached girls basketball at Deep Creek High School, said the secret to her success was having her prayers answered for the particular players she needed. Wayne Martin presented the awards for the outstanding high school athletes in swimming, gymnastics, and wrestling. ODU head football coach, Bobby Wilder, was the guest speaker. In his six years as Coach, Wilder has led the Monarchs to the best start-up program in the history of college football. Former UVA standout basketball player Bryant Stith will be April's guest speaker.
